The mission of the Sanford-Springvale YMCA is to promote values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility, to build healthy spirit, mind and body and to improve the quality of life for all members of Sanford-Springvale and the surrounding communities
We are committed to nurturing the potential of every individual and family, fostering youth development, promoting healthy living, and demonstrating social responsibility through collaboration and innovative community leadership.
For over 80 years, the Sanford-Springvale YMCA has been a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through our focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We believe that a strong community begins with empowering people to transform their lives. Everyone in our community needs a place to belong; a place to grow; a place that encourages a brighter future for ALL.
Last year, the YMCA provided over $227, 300 in scholarships to deserving kids, adults and families.
Last year we were proud to share our Y with 436 children, seniors and families who otherwise might not have become part of our Y family.
The success of the Y lies in the strength of its people and generous community members who help raise funds needed to provide programs and services to those who need the YMCA most.
