Are you aware that 1 in 4 kids in the state of Maine experience food insecurity? That 1 in 3 Maine kids qualify for food supplement benefits?
Help us make sure the kids of our community get enough to eat by donating today. We want to know that the many children relying on free or reduced price lunch as their main meal for the day have full plates – even outside the school cafeteria.
This December, we will be accepting certain non-perishable items to fill the backpacks of kids in need. All donated goods will benefit the Sanford Backpack Program, a local program dedicated to making sure that children in need receive adequate nutrition over the weekend. Our goal is to collect 500 items!
