Main Facility
The current 48,000 square-foot facility is located on a 12 acre property within Sanford-Springvale’s scenic Mousam Way Trail on River Street in Sanford and includes the following amenities:

6-lane indoor pool: In addition to swim lessons, water fitness classes and family fun nights for the community we also serve Lyman’s Recreation Department, Massabesic swim team, Wiggle Worms Physical Therapy, Monarch School, Massabesic and Sanford special education classes, Sanford High School Swim Team, and offer further community outreach through the Sea Perch program.

Wellness Center: Our Wellness Center is fully equipped with 42 cardio machines, 17 Matrix state-of-the-art strength machines, a Smith machine, plate loaded leg press and seated calf machines, Olympic benches, power rack, an 8 station cable system, a large free weight area, a True Stretch cage, and a variety of functional training equipment.
- Boxing Room: with a heavy bag and a speed bag.

Group Fitness Program: Our three studios are dedicated to group exercise classes and mind body classes such as yoga, Pilates, meditation and martial arts. The Group Fitness studio can accommodate more than 30 participants for Zumba, barre, bootcamp, HIIT, kickboxing, step, senior strength and more.

Sauna: Members can relax and unwind in our 8×8 foot co-ed sauna, or men’s and women’s saunas in separate adult changing areas.

Indoor Cycling Center: Our center includes 16 MATRIX power cycling bikes
- Prime Time: Our facility includes a “while you work out” childcare space (included as a family membership benefit)
- Child Care Wing & Playground: The Y’s new 2,440 square foot Early Learning Center is located in the childcare wing off of he aquatics lobby. Children in our child care programs have their own locker room and bathroom separate from the general membership population. The child care wing leads to a fenced-off playground with gate access to the Mousam Way Trail system.
YMCA Trafton Center
The YMCA Trafton Center is owned and operated by the Sanford-Springvale YMCA and is located at 19 Elm Street in Sanford. The Center has a large casual living and dining area, function/program room, greenhouse, patio, café and a large kitchen. The Center is dedicated to providing individuals 50 and older with health and wellness, social and enrichment opportunities.
Bunganut Lake Park
Bunganut Lake Park located in Lyman, Maine is owned by the Town of Lyman and operated by the Sanford-Springvale YMCA.
