Main Facility

The current 26,000 square-foot facility is located on a 12 acre property within Sanford-Springvale’s scenic Mousam Way Trail on River Street in Sanford and includes the following amenities:

  • 6-lane indoor pool: We not only provide aquatics programs and swim lessons to the community, but also serve MSAD 60, Monarch Schools, Goodall Hospital’s Physical Therapy Department, Area Recreation Departments, Boy and Girl Scout Troops and other organizations. The pool is also home to swim teams for the Sanford High School, the Massabesic Middle School and Massabesic High School.
  • Wellness Center: Our Wellness Center includes a cardio room fully equipped with strength training machines, treadmills, elliptical machines, recumbent bikes and stair climbing machines.  The weight room is complete with a free weight area, strength training machines, cable weight systems, cybex machines, benches and racks.
  • Group Fitness Room and All Purpose Room (APR): We offer two rooms dedicated to group fitness classes, health and wellness programs and special events/functions.
  • Sauna: Members can relax and unwind in our 8×8 foot Sauna.
  • Official Spinning Center: Our center includes 14 Star Trac Spinner Elite Bikes with nine certified instructors.
  • Child Care Wing & Playground:  The Y Prime Care and Owls Preschool programs are located in the child care wing.  Children in our child care programs have their own locker room and bathroom separate from the general membership population.  The child care wing leads to a fenced-off playground with gate access to the Mousam Way Trail system.

YMCA Trafton Center

The YMCA Trafton Center is owned and operated by the Sanford-Springvale YMCA and is located at 19 Elm Street in Sanford.  The Center has a large casual living and dining area, function/program room and a large kitchen.  The Center is dedicated to providing individuals 50 and older with health and wellness, social and enrichment opportunities.

Bunganut Lake Park

Bunganut Lake Park located in Lyman, Maine is owned by the Town of Lyman and operated by the Sanford-Springvale YMCA.
